The career counseling service is great for JET alumni who are still figuring out what they want to do or who are thinking about changing careers. This program is open to members of USJETAA, please login or become a member for free here. You may also become a member as part of the registration process, but then will need to use the menu at the top to navigate back to "Events" and sign up.
About the Career Counseling
The free career consultation is a one hour virtual session with minimal email support. All one hour sessions will take place virtually through the Zoom platform. There will be 25 sessions offered to JET alumni on a first-come, first-served basis. JET alumni will be placed on a waitlist once these free sessions run out in case spots open up or someone cancels. Emily will also offer discounted sessions at the special JET rate of $120 to those who are not able to get a free session or those who would like additional sessions.
Once you register and we have verified your information you will received the link to schedule your session with Emily Frank. All sessions must be scheduled to take place by the end of January 2022.

Who is Emily Frank?
Emily Frank (Hokkaido, 1993-1996) graduated from Smith College. After spending a lot of time afterwards feeling lost, she eventually got a master's degree in counseling and now helps others who are similarly lost regarding careers. She spent over 12 years working in career counseling at a large public university, and has been in private practice since January 2018. Emily is based in Denver, but does distance work with clients from all over the globe. She has been able to offer free career counseling to more than 50 JET alumni in the past through grants like this and has enjoys reconnecting with fellow JETs that way.
